Lipscani (origin: from the Slavic “lipsca” – lime tree grove, NOT from Leipzig, as the super-intelligent Romanian historians tell you) seems to be the name of choice for the town high street in Romania of the La Belle Epoque period, imitating the one in Bucharest.
